As part of the Continuous Energy Improvement campaign, in November of 2019 the College committed to a cohort model led by Efficiency Vermont to engage students across several Vermont colleges (SMC, Champlain, Middlebury, Bennington) in energy improvement projects around their campus. Through CEI campaign, we participated in several webinars presented by other colleges on various sustainability topics (e.g., UVM, Bennington) including managing sustainability during COVID restrictions.
In addition, on many occasions we have reached out to peer institutions in Vermont to seek advice/brainstorm with neighboring campuses on various sustainability efforts (such as recycling/waste reduction planning) as well as on STARS reporting.
