A brief description of the methodology used to determine the total number of courses offered and to identify sustainability course offerings, including the definitions used and the process for reviewing and/or validating the course inventory :
Students workers in the Office of Sustainability worked with staff in the Registrar's Office and the Dean's office to review the college's catalog and course schedule for courses with “sustainability” in the title or in the description. This was followed by further review of course description and outcomes. In addition, student workers were also able to review certain departmental curricula based on their own academic experience and course work. The Office of Sustainability plans to work with Academic Affairs to stream-line future inventories of sustainability courses and courses that include sustainability in which Departmental Chairs are involved in keeping an inventory of courses that qualify for these two classifications.

How were courses with multiple offerings or sections counted for the figures reported above?:
Each course was counted as a single course regardless of the number of offerings or sections
