A brief description of the program:
The Saint Mary's University (SMU) BioBlitz is an exciting
annual event that uses scientific research and public education to increase understanding of biodiversity, or the number of different living organisms, in Nova Scotia's environment.
Biodiversity affects the structure of "food webs" in nature, and helps scientists evaluate the health of the environment!
Saint Mary's University works in partnership with scientists, educators and environmental organizations from across the region to run this unique event. To learn more about the SMU BioBlitz and our partners, please explore our webpage.
