SMC's Vice President for Finance instructed the Director of Central Services to evaluate and then set up purchasing of recycled paper [of 30%] for the entire college community.


A brief description of steps the institution has taken to ensure that the purchasing policy, directives, or guidelines are followed :

SMC's Director of Central Services monitors all paper coming into the College to make sure that it maintains the directive put forth by the VP for Finance. If any department orders paper that does not meet the minimum recycle standard that department is contacted and questioned as to why they did not purchase recycled paper and then instructed that any future paper purchases must make all attempts to buy recycled products.
