Skillsoft provides hundreds of sustainability-related learning assets including courses, videos, books and other resources that are accessible to faculty and staff at the University. These online resources are made available through the myslu portal,on Skillsoft website 24 hours a day. University Orientation for all staff also provides an overview of sustainability activities on campus for all new staff members. Finally, Sustainability & Benchmarking has develped a sustainability learning module customized to our University, which has been delivered as an instructor-led training session and uploaded into SkillSoft as an online learning module.
A brief description of any external professional development and training opportunities in sustainability that are supported by the institution(e.g. through payment, reimbursement, or subsidy):
Facilities Services pays for individual memberships for employees interested in external training opportunities through the national level U.S. Green Building Council and the local level St. Louis Green Business Challenge. Individuals are also encouraged to attend events put on by the EarthWays Center of the Missouri Botanical Garden.
