Student Educational Services (SES): SES is made up of energetic, passionate personnel dedicated to the recruitment, retention and graduation of diverse student populations, especially first-generation college students. Through collaboration and partnership with other SLU departments and community organizations, unique programming offerings enhance educational opportunities for our primary constituency of pre-college students and SLU undergraduates. Mission: Attuned to the needs of students who benefit from enhanced educational opportunity, Student Educational Services (SES) fosters academic excellence for Saint Louis University students and the surrounding community. 1. The Billiken Bridge to Success Program is a three-week, residential, selective opportunity designed to enhance the transition to becoming a successful Billiken. For graduates of both private and public high schools, Monday-Friday programming facilitates learning through an interactive curriculum and exciting programming. The academic curriculum is project-based and interdisciplinary (writing, science, math, research). The co-curriculum fosters fun, learning skills and community building through workshops and social activities in the evenings and on the weekends. The Billiken Bridge to Success Program is a great way to make new friends, learn the campus and prepare for your transition to Saint Louis University. 2. The Student Support Services program assists 175 students to improve academic performance and successfully complete bachelor's degrees. We want you to think of SSS as your home base at the University where you will always find a friendly face who knows you and wants to help you succeed. SSS students benefit from a variety of programs and services such as the ones listed below: One-on-one advising Supported Study Groups Financial Literacy Program Exposure to cultural events Recommendation letter for scholarship/employment Financial aid information Personal counseling Eligibility: -A currently enrolled student or someone who is accepted for enrollment the following semester -A first-generation college student or a student from a modest-income family -A United States citizen or permanent resident -A student with documented learning/physical disabilities

International Faculty and Staff Association(IFSA) Mission Statement: The Saint Louis University International Association is open to all faculty and staff who share an international background or an interest in and appreciation of other cultures. The International Association seeks to pursue a nurturing and supportive environment for individuals from around the world so that they can successfully work and thrive at Saint Louis University. Consistent with the University’s mission, the Association aims to enhance diversity in the Saint Louis University community and to celebrate the richness of a multicultural environment both on campus and in the local community. In accordance with the University’s Jesuit tradition, the Association seeks to foster fairness and social justice for the multicultural environment that surrounds the University. As part of its commitment to education, research and service, the Association emphasizes the importance of raising awareness of varying intellectual perspectives, developing cultural sensitivity, and working collaboratively with individuals from the University as well as other non-SLU organizations.
