In late 2006, Compass Group committed to eliminating artificial trans-fat in the food they serve (in amounts that cannot legally be labeled “0 g trans-fat per serving”). Since then they have progressed in a stepwise fashion to eliminate cooking and frying oils, spreads and shortenings, snacks, desserts and baked goods and finally all other products that cannot be labeled 0 g trans-fat per serving.
