Descriptions of/Charges for All-College Committees:

Strategic Directions Committee
The All-College Strategic Directions Committee’s sphere of concern is related to the College’s long-term sustainability and strategic planning. It shall review and monitor the development and refinement of the strategic plan in support of achieving the vision and long-term success of the College. It shall review and monitor on-going implementation of the College’s strategic plan and how goals and objectives are being achieved, and recommend adjustments to the plan when appropriate.
The committee is advisory to the President and to the Chief Advancement Officer (CAO)
Members of the All-College Strategic Directions Committee shall meet annually with the Board of Trustees’ Strategic Directions Committee. The focus for both committees is:
•Strategic Goal: Saint Joseph’s College will be recognized as an exemplary 21st Century, Catholic, liberal arts college in the Mercy tradition.

• Initiative #3: Enhancing and diversifying our revenue streams
• Initiative #4: Developing a 21st Century educational program

Budget Committee
The All-College Budget Committee’s primary sphere of concern shall be the College’s operating and planning budgets. To this end, the committee will:
1) Participate in the annual/biennial budget process in an advisory capacity to
the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) 2) Review the quarterly financial results for the current fiscal year and provide advice to the CFO about any potential current year budget adjustments 3) Provide advice to the CFO and to the President concerning longer-term expense priorities for the College.
The committee is Advisory to the President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Members of the All-College Budget Committee shall meet annually with the Board of Trustees’ Finance Committee. The focus for both committees is:
Initiative #3: Enhancing and diversifying our revenue streams

College Environment Committee
The All-College College Environment Committee’s sphere of concern shall be those non- financial College resources that are essential to the College’s success and sustainability: human, physical plant, and technology. This committee will:
1) Review and contribute to the updating of the College’s enrollment and
persistence plans and provide relevant advice to the Chief Learning Officer (CLO) and the Chief Enrollment Officer (CEnO) 2) Review and contribute to the updating of the College strategic human resource plans and provide relevant advice to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) 3) Review and contribute to the updating of the College’s strategic information technology plans and provide relevant advice to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) 4) Review and contribute to the updating of the College’s master facilities and climate action plans and monitor their annual and strategic implementation. It shall provide relevant advice to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) concerning the capital budgeting process.
The committee is advisory to the various members of the College’s Leadership Team. Members of the All-College College Environment Committee shall meet annually with the Board of Trustees’ College Environment Committee. The focus for both committees is:

Initiative # 5: Stewarding our campus environment
Initiative #1: Stewarding our Enrollment and persistence

Institutional Effectiveness Committee
The All-College Institutional Effectiveness Committee’s sphere of concern shall be those activities at the College whose primary focus is continuous improvement: institutional and departmental/unit assessment. The committee will make recommendations to the College’s academic and administrative departments regarding data gathering and information sharing, will monitor progress of assessment activities, and will function as a visible structure for the summary, documentation, and communication of assessment efforts at the SJC.
In addition, the Institutional Effectiveness Committee will be responsible for ongoing maintenance and assessment of the All-College Committee system, including managing the memberships of the various committees.
The committee is advisory to College’s Leadership Team. Members of the All-College Institutional Effectiveness Committee shall meet annually with the Board of Trustees’ Audit and Risk Management Committee. The focus for both committees is:
• Institutionalizing our commitment to excellence

Mission and Legacy Committee
The All-College Mission & Legacy Committee’s sphere of concern shall be the ongoing integration of Saint Joseph’s Mission as a Catholic, liberal arts and Mercy college. The Committee shall advise Chief Sponsorship and Mission Integration Officer regarding the integration of the College’s Mission, Core Values, Heritage and Vision in the operations and strategic planning of the College. The Committee shall also review and contribute to the updating of the College’s strategic mission integration plans and provide relevant advice to the Chief Sponsorship and Mission Integration Officer.

All students are members of the Student Government and are encouraged to be active in its governing boards. Student involvement is critical to SG’s success in understanding and meeting student needs.

SG currently sponsors and funds more than 20 different clubs and organizations, and we encourage students to propose new programs. Feel free to contact an SG Executive Board member for more information on forming a new club or organization!

ACC host regular open meetings for the entire campus community to share, discuss and entertain questions and suggestions from anyone on campus who attends.

Open Houses:
President Jim Dlugos conducts regular Open Houses for the local community to ensure alignment with strategic plans, communicate planning, solicit input for plans that take stakeholder concerns into consideration. An example is the new athletic file abuts private property and will be impacted during construction and once the field is in use. The impacted neighborhood has been involved in all aspects from the beginning of the process and are satisfied that plans are unfolding as initially agreed.

The President's Forum for Faculty and Staff:
Scheduled on a monthly basis, in congruence with Faculty Senate Meetings:
