A brief description of the institution’s sustainable food and beverage purchasing program:

Pearson’s Cafe has a robust local purchasing program that will continue to opt for local/community based products and to improve our ability to opt for vendors who are certified/verified by recognized standards. All of our meat products are classified within our system of local/community based. Our criteria are stricter than the one listed here. Our purchasing includes but is not limited to; All milk, all beef, some pork, some chicken, grains and oats, coffee, all seafood. We engage multiple small local farms for produce.
