Students are given opportunities, both in a lecture format, and also experientially, to engage in discussions and activities around sustainability. During the summer orientation program, move-in orientation in August, and throughout their first semester in FYE, students attend speakers, work at the lake and farm on campus, and are introduced to the myriad of policies in the residence halls around sustainability, recycling, as well as in the dining areas on campus.
