Due to the office of sustainability starting in 2009, the 2008 greenhouse gas inventory (containing the 2005 emissions) was completed by a group of student interns. As such, different methods were used. One of the major differences was the 2005 emissions includes the greater St. John's emissions including the monastery, Liturgical Press, and and Hill Manuscript Museum (which are not SJU). To correct for this, the electricity and steam numbers were multiplied by .692 (the percentage of the square feet occupied by SJU in 2010).
