Electric scooters were introduced to the campus about 2 years ago. A minimum fee for the service. It's not clear if they consider forms of "public" transportation as an initiative. We of course transports 1,000s of students and staff around the campus using our bus system. The e-scooters are maintained by the VEO e-scooter company which has contracted with Rutgers as well as Highland park. It's $1 to begin and 28 cents per minute of the ride.
