Rutgers RA Recycling Orientation Program
A brief description of the student educators program (1st program):
Rutgers’ Resident Assistants are educated on how to recycle, what types of materials can and cannot be recycled, where to dispose of the recycled materials, and the importance of recycling. With this knowledge, the Resident Assistants educate student residents living in their halls on the proper ways of recycling.
A brief description of the student educators program’s target audience (1st program):
The target audience is students who live in residence halls. RAs are expected to work 15 hours per week. However, a small fraction of the time is used to educate their assigned residents on proper recycling. Based on conversations with current RAs, we are estimating that 30 minutes per week, or 0.5 hours per week, are spent.
