A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory:
Rutgers used a database created and managed by Academic Analytics. The database is called the Sustainability Works Explorer and maps scholarly research related to sustainability mapped to the SGDs. All Rutgers-New Brunswick researchers with a department affiliation were queried. This resulted in a list of 1,783 researchers. That list was then reviewed for accuracy. This manual review yielded 422 researchers.
