A News Release from RRU and the office of the Premier highlights RRU's partnerships with Tianjin University of Technology in China (TUT). The two universities deliver RRU’s Master of Arts in Environment and Management, that beginning in September of 2010. TUT and RRU are partnering together in China's New Binhai District Eco-city (HABA). The joint program involving RRU and TUT is responding to the government of China on its current policy regarding environmental protection and management over the next 5 ears starting in 2010. The details of the academic course offered by RRU and delivered in TUT are explained in the RRU-TUT memorandum of understanding (MOU).

Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC, Stantec, Esquimalt Lagoon Stewardship Initiative
(ELSI), Ducks Unlimited, Climate Action Westshore Society, BC Ministry of the Environment and Aquatex.


A brief summary of additional ways the institution collaborates with other campuses to advance sustainability :

RRU collaborates with University of Victoria (UVic) in the natural systems restoration program that focuses on the saltwater marsh restoration and community education of the Esquimalt lagoon located on the RRU campus. Camosun College and RRU collaborate together on offering Horticulture training and certification with work experience term being completed on the RRU campus. Together and with the partnerships and collaborations above, these efforts advance campus sustainability.
