Indigenous Education and Student Services provides cultural, academic and financial support for students.The Aboriginal Circle is a community open to students, faculty and staff at RRU who have an interest in connecting with one another and provides a virtual space for discussions relevant to the Aboriginal community.
RRU Proud offers services including positive space network workshops. Transgender individuals in the process of gender transition are accommodated appropriately in the services that RRU offers on campus in both residential housing and gender neutral washrooms.
The student body has a wide range of service available to them found through the student services office including counseling, career advising, accessibility and experiential education services.

Although no specific program exists, affirmative action in the pursuit of balancing diversity of RRU employees is a directive taken as an overall initiative to increase diversity. This affirmative action directive is applied if all other employee requirements are met and equal amongst all potential employees.
PPC Canada is an employee and family wellness program open to all faculty and staff of the university. While this service is not specific to underrepresented groups, any faculty member may use the services of PPC Canada.
Faculty and associate faculty have access to the Centre for Teaching and Educational Technologies including information and resources to provide education and teaching using varied approaches to meet different learning styles and bridge language and cultural barriers that may be encountered in the classroom..
