A brief description of programs, policies, infrastructure investments, outreach efforts, and/or other factors that contributed to the diversion rate:
RRU has a recycling and composting program. Both are picked up and delivered to off-campus facilities.
Currently, a student project is performing a waste audit, and making future recommendations to continue to improve the programs at RRU. Since the student project has started, there have been more on-campus compost bins distributed, increased awareness and educational posters on what is and isn't recyclable or compostable.
