All contractors that do business with the university are required to sign a code of conduct that explicitly states that all acts, regulations, and university policies must be adhered to. Prior to the commencement of any work project, the contractor is required to submit their Worker's Compensation Board number, a 24-hour phone number of the person designated for safety responsibilities, and inventory, storage, and handling procedures for hazardous wastes to the Director of Physical and Environmental Resources. Contractors must also conduct a weekly meeting to inspect the work site, tools, and equipment, and examine work practices and procedures.
