A brief description of the institution’s sustainability partnerships with the local community:

Royal Roads University has a formal partnership with the local community. Royal Roads University and the City of Colwood have signed a memorandum of understanding to partner on a series of sustainability initiatives to help Colwood become Canada's first "Green Learning City." The agreement calls for the university and the city to work together on projects, research and education in support of Colwood's goal to become a community that is carbon neutral, energy-positive and water smart.
