A brief description of the employee wellness program, policy, or practice:
Royal Roads University has an Employee Wellness Program. There are a number of resources and services which have been established at Royal Roads University that are a part of this program such as the standing Wellness Committee, a dedicated employee resource site (found on the internal Portal), a bi-annual Body Challenge, and several health-based learning activities such as annual wellness fairs and regular Lunch ‘n Learn workshops. Also available to all regular employees is access to our Employee & Family Assistance Program (Interlock), which is a confidential counseling service for employees and their dependants; and an on-campus recreation centre where staff can purchase a discounted membership.
