Royal Roads University has an electronic waste recycling and reuse program, as electronic waste typically contains toxic components such as lead and mercury. Royal Roads University acknowledges that these toxic components have the potential to contaminate the soil and groundwater, which cause significant negative health impacts to humans and the environment if not handled properly. Royal Roads University takes the necessary steps in order to ensure that employee safety and environmental health standards are being met.
