A brief description of the snow and ice removal program, policy, or practice:
Royal Roads University has implemented a strategy to reduce the environmental impacts of snow and ice removal by using a de-icing agent called True North (Xynyth Manufacturing Corporation), which is chloride based and is less severe than rock salt. In more severe conditions, Royal Roads University applies sand to roads and walkways to increase traction.
