A brief description of the institution’s formal participatory or shared governance bodies:
The Board of Trustees of Rowan University includes members who are external stakeholders. Rowan University operates under the laws of the State of New Jersey, and the BoT is vested by law with the general supervision of the University within general policies and guidelines pursuant to NJSA 18A:64 et seq.
Some of the responsibilities of the trustees are to appoint the University president, to approve the educational curriculum and student services program, and to determine policies for the organization, administration, and development of the University. Click here to view the Bylaws.
