Ms. Sharron Evans, Asst VP of Inclusion and Equity, is the university's Title IX Coordinator and directs the Office of Inclusion and Equity. She is also in charge of promoting and managing diversity awareness on campus.

A brief description of the cultural competence trainings and activities:
RU utilizes workshops, conferences, training sessions, classroom visits, student orientation activities, and online staff training materials to foster cultural competence and diversity awareness. A recent example: 2 day summit on disproportionate minority contact that was hosted by the MISJ in 2014, RU Proud Ally Training feb 2015, USHLI Conference (United Hispanic Leadership Institute) sponsorship, “Tunnel of Oppression” January 2015
