Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design
Tier2-2: Employee Wellness Program
Campus Planning + Design
Does the institution have an employee assistance or wellness program that provides counseling, referral, and well-being services to employees?:
A brief description of the employee wellness program, policy, or practice:
Because RMCAD is an Art + Design college, there are no academic departments or faculty to advise on health related issues and because we are a small campus, RMCAD relies on our Kaiser Permanente health care provider for wellness programs. The Kaiser wellness programs (in both English and Spanish) utilized by RMCAD employees are:
Health and Wellness Tool:
Health assessment tools and calculators, health classes, healthy lifestyle programs, etc.
My Health Manager:
Provides confidential, customized health action plans
RMCAD is becoming a non-smoking/tobacco free campus. Committees have been formed and an action plan in place to make the campus tobacco free in the year 2012. To support this effort tobacco free Kaiser programs and other stop-smoking/tobacco free programs are and will be utilized to assist students, faculty and staff to become tobacco free.
