A brief description of the student group:
SEED – Students Expanding Environmental Development
Brief Description: SEED is a student group promoting sustainability on campus and hoping to spread this environmental and social awareness off campus to the community at large. SEED describes themselves in this manner: “We are a club working to improve sustainability at school and have fun doing it! We hold meetings and fun events.” Past SEED accomplishments are:
Regular campus clean up, enhanced recycling program, campus wide composting program and 2010 Campus Sustainability Day.
Mission Statement:
The purpose of SEED (Students Expanding Environmental Development) on the RMCAD campus is to expand environmental development both on and off campus. Our mission is to use our collective resources to educate, inform and inspire peers and the community at large on the importance of being major change agents in the future sustainability of art, design and protection of the planet and its people.
