A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory:

A keyword search was utilized to sort through the university's research grant database as well as the faculty scholarship database for work occurring during the last 3 years. Keywords included: Environment, Ecology, Ecological, Sustainability, Sustainable, Social Responsibility, Socially responsible, Renewable, Energy, Social, Life cycle, Poverty, Community, Ecosystem, Climate change, Carbon, Waste, Water, Supply chain. Bios of the faculty and projects' abstracts from the list were then reviewed to ensure their research interests and goals did in fact relate to sustainability.
