A university-wide employee satisfaction survey is conducted every two – three years that replicates a set of core questions each time. To ensure confidentiality, the Chronical of Higher Education's "Great Colleges to Work For" survey, is administered by Modern Think LLC, a consulting firm. The consulting firm provides 1) data results at the university, college/division, and department levels, 2) results from previous years to track progress, 3) normative and best-in-class data for benchmarking and goal-setting purposes, and 4) an online action planning tool for supervisors.
The most recent survey was conducted in 2015 and sent out to 100% of employees. There was a 55% response rate: 61% of staff, 40% of faculty. More information about the survey instrument and methodology used can be found here: https://www.chroniclegreatcolleges.com/methodology/
