Does the institution meter all energy consumption (electricity, natural gas, purchased steam, etc.) for at least one building?:
A brief description of the metering system:
We read the main campus utilities where they enter campus (Electrical Substation, Main Gas Meters & Main water lines) the central plant info is also read from their main gas and electric meters. Utilizing Flow meters and temperature sensors we calculate the CHW and HW BTU’s for each building connected to the campus central plants through our BAS system. We also read the electrical usage by building using the Square D Power Logic system. Some of our water and gas meters are read automatically through the BAS – the remaining meters are read manually every month.
