A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction:
Rio Salado College administers several surveys annually to measure employee satisfaction. The Rio Salado College Leadership Council monitors survey results, ensuring that all target measures are achieved, and any shortcomings are addressed by the process owner with an intervention strategy. Rio Salado College espouses “relentless improvement” as a core value and is constantly striving to measure and improve performance so that the college maintains a continuous upward spiral of review and improvement.
All Employee Survey
An online survey is administered to all Rio Salado College employees annually, with the most recent survey administered in the fall 2010 semester. The survey consisted of 48 questions that asked about levels of awareness and knowledge in regards to many aspects of the college. The respondents were asked to rate their level of agreement on a five-point scale (strongly disagree to strongly agree) on 48 statements.
Employee Engagement Survey
An online survey is administered to all Rio Salado College employees annually, with most recent survey administered during spring 2011 in order to gain feedback on employee engagement. A total of 13 scaled questions (strongly disagree to strongly agree) were used in the survey. The Q12 characteristics in Follow This Path were used as a guideline for the questions. A total of 421 board-approved and temporary employees responded to the survey.
