A brief description of how the institution ensures that its lowest-paid workers (including contractors, if applicable) receive sustainable compensation:

Ringling College employs 410 employees directly. In addition, contractors operating on campus employ 78 individuals. Ringling College does not have guidelines for contracted workers, nor does it maintain or evaluate contractor's compensation at this time. Ringling College evaluates positions against peers and industry standards in order to appropriately reward its employees and to remain competitive. Compensation is determined to match the market place where we compete for talent. On a regular basis, compensation is reviewed and updated based on market movement. Regular compensation studies have resulted in data that supports the assumption that the College is paying above the prevailing market ranges where we compete, locally, regionally and nationally. Ringling College ensures that employees are paid a wage above the State of Florida minimum wage, which is currently $7.93 per hour. To report for this study, the lowest paid employees on campus are paid 26% above the minimum wage.
