A brief description of how the physical campus plan or amendment includes sustainability:
Ringling College's Campus Master Plan (adopted April 2011) incorporates Sustainability as one of its five Guiding Principles, reflecting the College's active commitment to environmental issues and obligations to care for and to conserve natural resources. The College strives to integrate Green infrastructure as part of Sustainable Design by embracing and enhancing the ecological and natural resource assets that currently exist on and adjacent to the campus, by highlighting the Whitaker Bayou estuary, and by integrating open space and stormwater management. As part of the campus master planning efforts, Biohabitats, Inc. collected and analyzed data on campus ecology, drainage issues, existing stormwater infrastructure and landscape management practices on the Ringling College campus.
