A brief description of the program:
Ringling College of Art and Design offers a telecommuting program called Flexplace on a case-by-case basis. Participation is at the discretion of management and allows employees to work remotely in an off-site work setting for a specified period of time. Employees requesting a Flexplace arrangement complete a Flexplace Expectations agreement that includes a description of the remote location, the work schedule, equipment and software provided by the College, a schedule for on-site workplace visits, a general description of care-giving arrangements for children (if applicable), and the time period of the arrangement. The agreement also includes a Safety Appendix that addresses safety matters and precautions for remote work locations. A Flexplace arrangement can be approved for up to one year and must be renewed annually if it is continued.
