A brief description of the institution’s programs that help increase the diversity of higher education faculty :
The district Visiting Scholar program supports future faculty, including those from under-represented groups. The program provides full-time temporary employment (up to 2 years) for faculty with little or no prior teaching experience. While there are no formal experience requirements for visiting scholar faculty, Richland also supports its visiting scholars with professional development in teaching and learning.
