A brief description of the student-managed SRI fund:
Rice's Owl Microfinance is a student group dedicated to making loans to entrepreneurs in developing countries and developing business training tools to be used locally by aspiring entrepreneurs. Fusing student activism with a global outlook and the pragmatic tools of economics, Owl Microfinance hopes to help entrepreneurs and small business owners around the world lift themselves out of poverty and create change in their communities through promoting education and social mobility.
