A brief description of the trayless dining program:
After a successful student-run pilot program, where all trays were removed from one servery, Rice adopted a no-trays policy campus-wide. Housing & Dining has seen significant savings, including 30% post-consumer waste reduction, 15% pre-consumer waste reduction, and 11% utilities and water savings.
