A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
As part of Red River College Polytechnic’s commitment to onboarding, we provide two half-day online orientation sessions for all new employees four times a year. The Sustainability Office provides a presentation at every New Employee Orientation session which includes an introduction to to the concept of sustainability, outlining how sustainability is embedded into the college, and giving tips on how employees can be sustainable on campus. Now that the session is virtual, employees have access to the presentation year round.
New Employee Orientation is not mandatory however all new staff are strongly encouraged to attend and information is included in the Letter of Offer and in onboarding materials. Sessions are also advertised to all staff through daily staff news emails.
