Has the institution conducted a GHG emissions inventory within the previous three years that includes all Scope 1 and 2 emissions? :
Yes

A copy of the most recent GHG emissions inventory:
A brief description of the methodology and/or tool used to complete the GHG emissions inventory:

The college used UNH's Simap tool.

Has the GHG emissions inventory been validated internally by personnel who are independent of the GHG accounting and reporting process and/or verified by an independent, external third party?:
Yes

A brief description of the GHG inventory verification process:

The report, data files, and access to the Simap web site were provided to Brian O'Rourke, Executive Director of Facilities & Grounds, who reviewed and verified the inventory.

Documentation to support the GHG inventory verification process:

Other sources Yes 2.87 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent

Total Scope 3 GHG emissions, performance year:
3,998.24 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent

A brief description of how the institution accounted for its Scope 3 emissions:

Other sources is wastewater. Purchased goods is paper.

Has the institution completed an inventory within the previous three years to quantify its air pollutant emissions?:
Yes

Annual weight of emissions for::
Weight of Emissions
Nitrogen oxides (NOx) 0.69 Tons
Sulfur oxides (SOx) ---
Carbon monoxide (CO) ---
Particulate matter (PM) ---
Ozone (O3) ---
Lead (Pb) ---
Hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) ---
Ozone-depleting compounds (ODCs) ---
Other standard categories of air emissions identified in permits and/or regulations ---

Do the air pollutant emissions figures provided include the following sources?:
Yes or No
Major stationary sources Yes
Area sources Yes
Mobile sources Yes
Commuting Yes
Off-site electricity production Yes

A brief description of the methodology(ies) the institution used to complete its air emissions inventory:

The college used the UNH SIMAP tool to calculate emissions. The College also conducts regular testing of the output of the cogeneration plant stack.

Air pollution inventory is from UNH SIMAP results for FY2021. Other pollutants not reported above are CH4 (188 kg) and N2O (190 kg).

Gross Scope 2 GHG emissions from purchased electricity (location-based):
2,822.41 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent

Gross Scope 2 GHG emissions from imported thermal energy (location-based) :
0 Metric tons of CO2 equivalent

Additional documentation to support the submission:
Data source(s) and notes about the submission:

In years when the cogeneration plant is running, we have flue stack air pollution tests, which includes CO, NO2, and NH3 ("other") numbers as PPMV and lbs/hr. See the additional documentation that was done during a test run.

The formal GHG report (provided) is only written every 3 years and includes Scope 3 data, which is why the data for OP-1 is for FY2020. FY2021 data is provided for OP-2 because it the most recent Scope 1 and Scope 2 data that we have.
