A brief description of the institution's green laboratory program:

The science labs in the new Science edition have energy efficient fume hoods that automatically lower and use less energy when lowered. All faucets are low-flow.

Students are instructed in their lab safety document and in class to dispose of all chemicals in the waste jar in the hood and that nothing goes down the drain.

The Chemistry Department delivers the leftover lab chemicals that they have deemed as Hazardous Waste to the Hazardous Waste Closet. Consistent with small quantity Generator Status regulations of the State, the College disposes of this Material every 6 months through a licensed Hazardous Waste disposal firm.
