A brief description of the institution’s green event certification program:
The college has adopted green event guidelines. The 2022 Earth Day events followed these guideline, and many club events follow these guidelines.

Help make RVCC events environmentally friendly by requesting:
□ that attendees to bring reusable water bottles/mugs/thermoses
□ cloth tablecloths (for round tables, email studentlife@raritanval.edu and then confirm)
□ compost and recycling bins inside the room (include in Housekeeping work order)
□ buffet style food, avoiding single serving packaging (such as paper boxes for boxed lunches)
□ vegan and vegetarian options
□ lower-impact animal protein such as eggs, poultry and fish

For internal events, the inhouse caterer or event organizer will provide the following when applicable and feasible:
□ water dispensers or pitchers, not plastic water bottles
□ compostable paper cups and plates
□ coffee service with dairy pitchers, sugar bowls, wooden stirrers
□ cloth tablecloths for catering tables (can be provided for additional rectangular tables for a fee)
