RVCC has committed to building only LEED Silver or better. The Science Addition and Workforce buildings were built to LEED Silver standards and are in the process of being certified.
The GreenScapes policy for construction projects was adopted as part of RVCC's Memorandum of Understanding with the EPA, and follows EPA guidelines.

The Executive Director of Facilities, Brian O'Rourke, is a LEED AP. He oversees the design and construction and ensures compliance with green building guidelines and policies.

Eligible building space - constructed or renovated in the past 5 years - Science addition (23,500, 2016), Workforce building (47,000, 2017), Food pantry (625, 2018), Nursing Lab (3000, 2018), West basement (7500, 2018). Bateman Center opened Feb 2014 so is not counted here. Print Shop is not in use yet so is not counted here.
