A brief summary of additional ways the institution collaborates with other campuses to advance sustainability :
RVCC is very close with other New Jersey community colleges, colleges, and universities, and regularly shares information with their facilities and sustainability staff. Facilities Director Brian O'Rourke served as President of NJAPPA, an organization for facilities managers in higher education. At the Eastern Region conference (ERAPPA) in September 2014, Mr. O'Rourke and Sustainability Coordinator Sue Dorward presented "Sustainability on a Budget", describing sustainability initiatives on campus. NJHEPS awarded RVCC with its 2014 Campus Sustainability Award, in recognition of its new LEED Gold-designed student center and its extensive Earth Week program. Princeton's Office of Sustainability has been an excellent resource on a number of sustainability projects. In turn, RVCC has had numerous communications with Princeton and other institutions about its cogeneration plant.
