This literacy assessment was developed to determine the general knowledge of environmental science for students in the Environmental Science & Studies program. This was developed in 2019 and is updated each year to gather data.

The sample is not representative of the whole student body (as noted above). The assessment is administered at the beginning of their four-year program and in the final semester of their program.

The assessment showed that a large percentage of the participants had a general understanding of sustainability and earth science.
