Faculty & Staff: Employee Assistance Program
Employees who are participating in one of the health plans offered by the state can take advantage of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). This plan offers counseling sessions for employees and their dependents with up to four sessions at no charge. EAP counselors are available to assist employees with issues related to: alcohol, drugs, family, health, legal, financial, housing, mental health, child care, elder care, grief, spousal/child/parent abuse, workplace, career planning and retirement.

CommonHealth
Changes in your lifestyle can have a big impact on your health. The CommonHealth program strives to make a difference in the health of employees and the workplace by integrating health into the work culture. More than 40 different health promotion services are offered to state agencies, including fitness and stress management, personal health and safety, and weight control and nutrition.
Faculty & Staff Fitness
The Department of Health and Human Performance offers Faculty and Staff Fitness Programs in Peters Hall Fitness Lab.
Campus Walking Routes
Several walking routes [PDF] have been mapped out around the Radford University campus with the distance and approximate time taken to walk the loop.
Weight Watchers
The Commonwealth of Virginia offers Weight Watchers at special pricing to state employees, spouses and adult dependents. Visit Weight Watchers [PDF] for information on the program options, special offerings and how to join. Employees eligible for the health benefits program may also be reimbursed for half the cost of services, once they have completed program requirements.
At-work meetings are held at Radford University every Thursday from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the Human Resources Conference Room. All employees are eligible to attend and can join at any time.
