A partnership between the New River Resource Authority (NRRA), Trex, and the Radford University Student Government Association (SGA), brings to campus a new opportunity for recycling. SGA is now collecting and counting used plastic bags from the campus community. When SGA collects 40,000 bags, the NRRA and Trex will provide a park bench made of recycled plastic bags to be placed on campus.

Currently, SGA has collected just over 30,000 plastic bags and is hoping to reach 40,000 by the end of the year.
