Student Sustainability Leadership Workshop

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:
On January 26, 2019, student internship teams from Radford University and Virginia Tech participated in a one-day training at Radford University's Selu Conservancy that focused on leadership for sustainability. Sustainability staff from both universities collaborated to develop a program that facilitated learning about sustainability leadership through a series of games, activities, and simulations. Students are applying the knowledge and skills developed at the workshop on semester-long sustainability projects on their respective campuses. The program provided a valuable networking experience for the students and we hope to open the program to other Virginia schools in the future.
