In 2023, PepsiCo and QU entered a partnership that provided the institution $3.6 million over ten years. Of the total award, $500,000 ($50,000 annually) is used to establish the PepsiCo Fund for Environmental Science and Sustainability. The fund will support students in financial need engaged in experiential learning, study abroad, travel, internships, and other opportunities in the environmental science major, the sustainability and environmental policy major, and environmental studies in the College of Arts and Sciences. The fund may also be used for sustainability projects and initiatives across campus.

The PepsiCo Fund for Environmental Science and Sustainability selects projects and initiatives to support through intercampus collaboration between various academic offices and departments. Projects are chosen based on access to other funding sources, impact on the campus community, and impact on students' education experience while at QU.
