Quinnipiac donates excess food to Hamden residents through Haven’s Harvest, a nonprofit organization that currently provides food to those facing food insecurity throughout Greater New Haven district. The partnership serves to advance sustainability by reducing Quinnipiac's food waste and addresses the interdependence of ecological and social/economic systems.
Quinnipiac's Albert Schweitzer Institute is currently supporting a (paid) intern with Haven's Harvest to explore the further development of this relationship.
