A brief description of the open access APC fund:

The university supports faculty seeking to publish articles and has agreements with two of the largest publishers to waive article processing charges. This is a program that the university negotiated directly with the publishers so it facilitates authors seeking to publish. They do not have to pay any fees.

Publishing Open Access with no Article Processing Charges

The library has two large journal publisher agreement for waiving article processing charges for Quinnipiac authors who wish to publish open access: Springer and ACM.

SpringerNature: Quinnipiac University has access to all Springer titles, plus article processing charges are waived for Springer hybrid open access journals. To waive fees, the corresponding author must be from Quinnipiac or one of the other institutions participating in this agreement. Springer has more information for authors. 

ACM: Quinnipiac University has access to all ACM titles, plus article processing charges are waived. Almost all ACM journals are eligible. To waive fees, the corresponding author must be from Quinnipiac or one of the other institutions participating in this agreement. ACM has more information for authors.

You do not need to go through the library to arrange waiving fees, the publishers will waive the fees when you tell them you are affiliated with Quinnipiac.
