Purdue is proud to partner with Zipcar to offer a parking alternative that also includes access to Zipcars parked across the city and the campus.  Currently, there are 4 Zipcar locations on campus.

Yes

A brief description of the incentives for fuel efficient vehicles:

Low emission vehicle (LEV) parking spacings are available in the Northwestern Parking Garage on campus. The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) website maintains a list of vehicles that qualify beginning with 1998 models.


Does the institution have one or more Level 2 or Level 3 electric vehicle recharging stations that are accessible to student and employee commuters?:
Yes

A brief description of the electric vehicle recharging stations:

Purdue has 3 Level 2 electric vehicle charging stations located on campus at premium garage parking spaces.  Permits (including EV permits that can be purchased by visitors) are required to use these chargers between the hours 7am-5pm Monday-Friday; however, the charging stations are currently free to use outside of that designated timeframe.

Purdue has multiple initiatives to encourage more sustainable modes transportation. Two examples include:

CityBus – the operating name for Greater Lafayette Public Transportation Corporation – is a contracted partner with Purdue University for public transportation services. The agreement is called an “unlimited access” agreement because it gives Purdue students, faculty, and staff unlimited, fare-free access to the CityBus system.

Purdue works closely with SPIN to provide a scooter share program to the campus and surrounding communities. This collaboration features specific programing aimed at improving mobility for the campus community, geofence based enforcement programs, and research opportunities using shared data.
